MCL 339.2013(1) and (2)
Department shall issue a license to a person who holds a certificate of qualification or registration to engage in professional surveying in another state or country if the person possesses the qualifications required under this article and is eligible for reciprocity or comity. Comity means recognition and acceptance of educational and practical experience credentials that are equivalent to Michigan's requirements. The board may waive the examination requirement at its discretion.
