Comity Requirements
COMITY EXCEPTION: For applicants originally licensed as a PE in another state prior to December 31, 2005, who can verify at least 8 years of experience prior to December 31, 2005 by PEs, and who are currently licensed, they may file an application even if they hold engineering technology or related science degrees.

The education, experience, and examination qualifications of the applicant are, in the judgment of the board, of a standard not lower than that specified in the applicable licensure act in effect in Alabama at the time such certificate was issued. EXCEPTION: For applicants originally licensed as a PE in another state prior to December 31, 2005, who can verify at least 8 years of experience prior to December 31, 2005 by PEs, and who are currently licensed, they may file an application even if they hold engineering technology or related science degrees.
